Moral science classes for BPOs
Taking cognisance of the four-lakh strong work-force, the Archdiocese of B'lore has been having a series of meetings with BPO units.
Taking cognisance of the four-lakh strong work-force, the Archdiocese of Bangalore has been having a series of meetings with representatives of BPO units and call centres.
The problem, as seen by the Archdiocese is that thousands of youngsters have migrated to the city in search of jobs, and apart from a job they have little else.
Statistics indicated that the clergy could take the idea forward. Explains Rev Bernard Mores, the Archbishop of Bangalore,"Bangalore has a large number of girls and boys from various parts of the country.
They may be financially well-off but need other forms of support. We are ready to offer counselling as well as spiritual and moral support, any time of the day or night.
The Church has some kind of responsibility towards the youth, hence we have already started some counselling sessions."
